The evidence that Google was planning to go for a Snapdragon 765G in the anticipated Pixel 5 raised quite a few hackles. Up until now, all of Google`s flagship-level Pixel phones have used high-end 800 series chipsets, and many feared that the switch would result in diminished performance.
